Responsibilities

The Sales and Operations Planner will be responsible for the development, approval, quality and accuracy of the unit level forecast for all products under multiple product lines within each Segment. This role will partner with the Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Finance to deliver accurate forecasts that represent the best thinking from all key stakeholders.

OPERATIONS

  • Responsible for producing accurate demand forecasts for all products under multiple product lines.
  • Maintain and update statistical models and data in the forecasting system.
  • Determine trends and performance for busuines and operational metrics.
  • Review and manage statistical model exceptions.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Geozones teams to ensure all apsects of forecast are covered.
  • Own and manage S&OP process for the product line.
  • Implement action items.
  • Tracks and analyzes forecast variance / bias and updates forecasts to continually improve forecast accuracy.
  • Identify best practices and improvement opportunities.
  • Balance supply with demand for the product line and identify constraints.
  • Complete analysis on inventory turns and implement systems to increase performance.
  • Manage opportunities to improve inventory redeployments.
  • Work with manufacturing facilities to improver operational measures including OTD, Past Due, Lead Time etc.
  • Monitor supplier performance and work towards supplier lead time reduction.
  • Manage demand and planning parameters including forecast, safety stock and min-max.
COMMUNICATION
  • Collaborate with key internal and external partners to document changes / overrides, assumptions and inputs for Sales and Operations Planning meetings. Add internal and external intelligence to the forecast such as impact of media, trade and consumer promotions, product launches and discontinuations, price changes, and competitive activity.
  • Works closely with Sales, Marketing, Account Planning, Operations and Manufacturing to deliver accurate demand forecasts.
  • Maintains effective communications with all key stakeholders both internal and where appropriate external
  • Supervisors & Managers should clearly communicate expectations, roles and responsibilities to their reports
FINANCIAL

  • Costs incurred should be within approved budget, processed within agreed time frames & following the relevant financial policy and procedure

  • Able to demonstrate conviction to the forecasting process, inputs and outcomes
  • Develops scenarios and "what-if" analyses in conjunction with other functions as required
  • Participate in or lead regular reviews to share information
Qualifications

REQUIRED
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in business, industrial management, supply chain or other relevant fields.
  • 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a demand planning, supply chain management, inventory management, manufacturing roles
  • Good understanding of supply chain best practices and procedures
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation abilities
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with associates at all levels
  • Display impeccable time-management, detail oriented and a high level of accuracy
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Possess the collaboration and communication skills to be effective in multi-regional or global settings
PREFERRED
  • Certifications from Supply Chain & Manufacturing organizations (APICS, SCM, ASQ etc.)
  • Previous experience with Sales & Operations Planning
  • ERP Systems experience
  • JDE knowledge
