Job Objectives

To contribute to the Materials Planning and Procurement department by operating with high efficiency, integrity, and enthusiasm. The role requires creativity and proactive involvement in continuous improvement initiatives within the management team.

Roles & Responsibilities

Materials Planning & Procurement

Procure the right parts/quantities with required quality and timing to minimize production loss and obsolescence. Plan and calculate purchase order timing to meet production schedules. Provide forward order projections to vendors to reduce lead time and production costs while maintaining optimal inventory levels.

Vendor Management

Select and coordinate vendors from the Approved Vendor List. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery, quality, and competitive pricing.

Purchase Order Processing

Perform daily purchase requisition and purchase order issuance. Confirm order details with vendors including price, quality, and delivery dates. Ensure timely issuance of purchase orders.

Follow-Up & Coordination

Expedite outstanding purchase orders and ensure JIT (Just-In-Time) delivery. Manage rejected or incorrect parts and ensure timely returns. Reschedule incoming and outgoing orders as needed.

Reporting & Administration

Responsible for Inventory Turn and Aging Reports. Handle administrative tasks such as issuing and filing purchase orders. Perform other purchasing duties as assigned by the superior.

Requirements

Minimum

Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field

or

Diploma

(1-year program) in any discipline with at least

2 years

of experience in Material/Supply Management. Familiarity with Material & Supply Management in a

manufacturing environment

. Ability to comprehend and implement changes effectively. Detail-oriented with a sincere desire to produce accurate, quality work. Positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
