Job Role: Manager - Supply Chain Program (Purchasing) Role Purpose: To support and develop the business\'s procurement strategy, supply chain strategic sourcing, supplier contract management adherence and governance, delivering and managing best practice procurement solutions for the business. Responsibilities: to determine/align sourcing strategies to meet business requirements. Lead supplier selection MFT\'s (multi-functional teams) To issue RFP (Request for Proposal) for new or expiring contracts to potential and existing suppliers. To negotiate effectively with the supplier base on a regular basis for the benefit of Spirit AeroSystems. To ensure ongoing cost reduction through the adoption of best practice techniques. To ensure contracts are maintained with key suppliers. To continuously endeavor to reduce the supplier base through vendor rationalization. To regularly measure supplier performance formally with regards to cost, quality and service. To liaise with key suppliers to identify and execute opportunities for improving performance. To manage and administer the order placement and query resolution activities. To give support to and provide competitive quotes against bids for new business opportunities (Customer Proposal). Develop the Procurement team to include succession planning, training plans and individual development profiles. To provide leadership, guidance and advice to Procurement team while also regularly communicating results. Responsible for planning, allocating and recruitment of labor and resources (support to IPTs and new bids etc.) Accountable for establishing and managing labor and overhead budgets. Responsible for all people management tasks e.g. discipline, grievances etc. Provide inputs to Spirit Strategic direction, ie new regions, suppliers, supplier development etc. To lead and facilitate Customer interface activities in relation to supply chain. To facilitate and manage the introduction of new products and the associated suppliers. To support supplier exit management during transfer activities. To assess potential opportunities and risks which may impact introduction / change of product supply. To embed continuous improvement culture with suppliers to achieve mutual benefits. To ensure that Corporate Governance processes are adhered to. To facilitate the agreement and maintenance of costed BOMs for Subcon Procured parts with Program Integration and Global Operations. Knowledge, Skills and Experience: Broad knowledge of Procurement or Supply Chain Management. Experience of Minimum 5 - 6 years in procurement of supply chain management or graduate Diploma/Degree Business Management or appropriate discipline or equivalent. Effective communication skills. Project and risk management skills Intermediate IT skills. Understanding of problem-solving tools and techniques. Knowledge of scheduling, provisioning processes. Ability to Formulate and apply contract law. Sound commercial and financial awareness. Effective relationship management skills. Good Negotiating skills. Previous managerial/leadership experiences. Ability to deal with multiple supplier issues. Cultural Awareness (due to the international nature of the role)
