The Content Operations & Managed Services (COMS) team is client-focused and technology-enabled. This team produces unique analytics and data derivation algorithms to drive insight and value for our internal and external stakeholders. COMS is responsible for creating LSEG Intellectual Property by generating ICB Classifications, Free Float calculations and similar other data fields based on standardization of raw data.
For our team based in Kuching we are currently recruiting for the Associate Position on our COMS Team. Our Green Solutions Analysts are responsible for managing a wide range of data on an expanding universe of companies and for ensuring quality and accuracy in all our Sustainable Investments Green Revenue product offerings. As an Associate, you are responsible for a critical function within the COMS team and will maintain complete ownership of the data used by our clients and in live indexes.
Key responsibilities of the role
Analyze, Extract, Standardize & Maintain quantitative and qualitative data from multiple data sources, including annual reports, company websites and other filings from public and private companies with a high degree of quality while adhering to defined policies and business rules
Develop subject matter expertise on various sub-themes of our Green Revenue data methodology
Devise and maintain Methodology, Guidance and quality/training manuals for Green Revenue
Identify and implement improvements to reduce effort spent on data management and analysis through automation and/or process optimization
Work effectively with colleagues at all levels within the organization, including managers and teams across global centers and time zones
Design and execute key proactive data quality controls through investigation and resolution of data breaks and exceptions and own processes from end-to-end that mitigate risks
Perform Quality Control processes and provide targeted feedback to improve quality over time
Monitor and report Quality Control trend results to managers, including identification of root cause(s) and recommendations for action plans
Resolve client queries in a timely manner with clarity and accuracy and collaborate with Client Engagement, Product and Technology teams, as required
Adapt quickly to changes in technology, processes and systems to keep pace with evolving business needs
Key behaviours and skills required to be successful in the role:
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree or equivalent experience
Strong quantitative reasoning skills, attention to detail and ability to collect and analyse large datasets
Excellent English Language Skills (written, reading, speech)
Excellent Mandarin Languages Skills (written, reading, speech)
Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Ability to work independently with high degree of ownership
Ability to meet strict weekly deadlines and quality standards as established by the Department
Ability to multi-task and demonstrate results
Preferred Skills
Experience with ESG factors; expertise in Sustainability
