We are looking for systems administrator with strong experience managing server infrastructures and data-center operations across

Unix

,

Linux

and

Windows platforms.

You should be able to effectively plan, install, configure and optimize

IT infrastructures

to achieve high availability and performance. Proven ability to create and deliver solutions tied to business growth, organizational development and systems/network optimization.

Responsibilities

Analyze system status related to memory, storage, and CPU utilization. Possess in-depth knowledge of file handling and file system management. Demonstrate strong understanding of ITIL and Service Management methodologies. Perform basic administration of databases such as MS SQL, PostgreSQL, and MySQL. Carry out installation and maintenance of open-source technologies, including web services such as Apache, Tomcat, JBoss, and Nginx. Have basic knowledge of TCP/IP packet analysis, routing, switching, and firewall technologies. Apply basic scripting skills using Windows Batch, Python, PowerShell, and Linux Shell scripting. Familiarity with automation tools such as Ansible and CHEF is an added advantage. Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is an added advantage. Maintain, configure, and ensure the reliable operation of computer systems and virtualization environments. Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes. Troubleshoot hardware and software issues by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing issues, and assessing their impact. Prepare documentation and technical specifications for IT staff to support planning and implementation of new or upgraded IT infrastructure. Perform or delegate regular backup operations and implement appropriate data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.

Qualifications

Associate or

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience required

3-5 years

of system administration experience System administration and IT certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or other network related fields are a plus

Working knowledge of virtualization, Ovirt, HyperV, VmWare or equivalent

Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols Experience with scripting and automation tools A proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategy and plans Strong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing IT operations best practices, including expert knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols
Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
