About this opportunity!

We are looking for a System Engineer to provide operational support to our managed 5G network infrastructure. You will be part of the Managed Operation Assurance Level 2 team that is responsible for managing the daily BAU operational activities for the NFVI-CNIS and Network devices. Together with the team, you will ensure a good performing network infrastructures that meet the business objectives and operational/service SLAs.

What you will do

• Maintain and configure various network devices and services especially for Juniper routers, switches, firewalls and Fortinet firewalls.
• Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
• Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity forecast.
• Provide Level-2 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues escalated by the Level-1 (Automated Operations Team) via the trouble tickets within the SLA.
• Provide domain expertise to automation and analytics team to support analytics and automation use cases.
• Work within established Change Management process to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure.
• Implement security tools, policies and procedures in conjunction with the company\xe2\x80\x99s or customer\xe2\x80\x99s security policy.
• Interact and support 3PP vendors for any onsite DC visit for hardware troubleshooting / hardware part replacement.
• Liaise with customer /network operation team for VNF/CNF operation matters.

You will bring

• University Degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Telecommunication or equivalent
• Good understanding of Mobile Network Architecture, signaling and transport network
• Good experience with Networks, Cloud and NFV technologies from Openstack platform
• Proven hands-on network engineering, solution and operations experience especially with Juniper and Fortinet network devices.
• Good understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS)
• Solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model
• Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools
• Expertise in Virtualization, Cloud & converged infrastructure technologies
• Good knowledge of Openstack platform
• CCNP, Juniper and Openstack certified is highly preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Open-minded, proactive and motivated to work in multicultural team
