Job Summary

The System Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting the company's IT infrastructure -- including servers, networks, storage, and system applications. The role ensures high availability, performance, and security of all systems to support business operations efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

1.

System Administration & Maintenance

- Manage, configure, and monitor servers (Windows, Linux, or hybrid environments).

- Perform regular system updates, patches, and backups.

- Ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness.

2.

Network & Security Management

- Manage LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPNs, and IP configurations.

- Troubleshoot connectivity issues and ensure secure access control.

- Collaborate with security teams to maintain compliance and protect systems.

3.

Infrastructure Planning & Implementation

- Design and deploy new systems and network solutions.

- Evaluate hardware/software requirements and recommend improvements.

- Participate in infrastructure migration, virtualization, or cloud integration projects.

4.

Monitoring & Troubleshooting

- Proactively monitor system performance and logs.

- Respond to incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.

- Maintain documentation of configurations, processes, and incidents.

5.

User & Technical Support

- Provide Level 2/3 technical support to end users and other departments.

- Support deployment of new applications and systems across teams.

6.

Collaboration & Project Support

- Work closely with development, operations, and project teams.

- Contribute to technical documentation, procedures, and standards.

- Participate in system testing, integration, and deployment planning.

Qualifications & Requirements

1 Bachelor's degree in

Computer Science

,

Information Technology

,

Engineering

, or related field.

2 2-5 years of experience in

system administration

or

infrastructure management

.

3 Strong knowledge in:

- Windows Server / Linux systems / Open-source systems

- Virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V)

- Networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs)

- Cloud services (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)

- Backup and recovery solutions

-Familiar with scripting (PowerShell, Bash, or Python) for automation.

- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM4,500.00 - RM5,500.00 per month
