The Role Responsibilities

• The jobholder is responsible for ensuring that the technical solution (within the area of specialization) solves the business problem, by providing expert guidance in the effective translation of business requirements into robust technical solutions, and then assisting other team members in the design and implementation of those solutions.
• The jobholder is likely to be expert across a wide range within the area of specialization, but a key element of the role will be the continuous development of expertise. The Jobholder should be a team player that is willing to work with People Manager, Senior, peer and business user to meet project objective and deliver the project.
• Credit Card System specialized domain skill is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform Mainframe Cobol/CICS program design, coding, testing and its unit testing documentation.
• Provides technical guidance to junior developers.
• Work with senior and/or People Manager on Analysis of user stories and assessment of changes required in the system.
• Design program specifications aligning to COBOL/JCL coding best practices for efficient system performance.
• Use JIRA/ Confluence for project changes and tracking.
• User Acceptance Testing support that includes test environment set-up/configuration, batch execution and responding to business queries and clarifications.
• Supports project deployment activities and post implementation monitoring.
• Supports production issue investigation and resolution whenever need arises.

Our Ideal candidate

• Degree in Computer Science or IT related
• Minimum 5 years working experience in credit card or debit card system
