Company Overview:

JOS Malaysia is a dynamic and innovative IT company specializing in providing cutting-edge network solutions to our client companies. We are currently seeking a talented and motivated System Engineer to join our team, with a specific focus on a workload distribution of 70% server-related tasks and 30% network-related responsibilities.

Job Requirements:

1. System Audits:

Conduct regular audits of client systems to assess security, performance, and compliance with industry standards. Provide detailed reports and recommendations for improvements based on audit findings.

2. Vendor Management:

Evaluate and manage vendor relationships for hardware, software, and services on behalf of client companies. Ensure service level agreements are met, and continuously assess vendor performance.

3. Server Administrator:

Develop strategies for server implementations; architect the infrastructure required to support those strategies. Design and review of new server systems, applications, and hardware; conduct capacity planning as needed.

4. Server Patching:

Develop and implement server patching strategies for client environments to enhance system performance and security. Coordinate with client IT teams to ensure timely and coordinated patch deployments.

5. Routing and Switching:

Design, implement, and maintain robust routing and switching architectures for client networks. Troubleshoot and optimize network performance, ensuring seamless connectivity.

6. Network Open Port Management:

Monitor and manage network open ports for clients, ensuring optimal network performance and security. Implement and maintain firewall configurations based on client requirements and industry best practices.

7. System Engineering Support:

Provide expert-level support for system-related issues, troubleshooting, and incident resolution. Collaborate with client IT teams to implement system upgrades and enhancements.

8. Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain comprehensive documentation of client system configurations, changes, and security measures. Generate regular reports on system performance, audit results, and vendor management for client review.

9. Collaboration and Client Communication:

Collaborate effectively with client IT teams to understand business requirements and align system solutions accordingly. Communicate clearly and proactively with clients on system-related issues and initiatives.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience as a System Engineer, particularly in an outsourced services environment. Strong knowledge of system auditing, vendor management, server patching, and network open port management. Industry certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, CompTIA Server+, or equivalent are highly desirable. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Pay: Up to RM4,000.00 per month
