Talent Acquisition Sourcing Specialist

The Talent Acquisition Sourcing Specialist works to proactively identify candidates through sophisticated sourcing techniques. Based in Penang, Malaysia, the Talent Acquisition Sourcing Specialist will have 2 principle responsibilities;

  • Candidate sourcing which includes sourcing for challenging roles as well as developing proactive recruitment marketing activities, to build robust candidate pipelines for high demand roles.
  • Providing coordination including but not limited to provide administrative assistance to our recruiting team, posting job descriptions and maintaining databases with candidate information, whilst matching CV\xe2\x80\x99s to various roles and contacting candidates to undertake a basic pre-screen and telephone interviews.
Familiarity with recruiting strategies, including sourcing, screening and interviewing methods.

Responsibilities:
  • Sources qualify candidates through a variety of channels including direct sourcing, LinkedIn, job boards, referrals, networking, social media, etc. Delivers exceptional candidate slates by using well proven, passive candidate recruiting methodologies. Develops innovative attraction strategies including identification of new sourcing channels. Share best practices, industry and market intelligence data to support the TA team.
  • Uses search engine and networking sites using Boolean search language. Supports sourcing activity through scheduling recruiting events such as career fairs, college/university recruitment events, etc. Leverages the Smith & Nephew Culture pillars and our Employer Value Proposition (EVP) to engage leads and convert them into applicants.
  • Drives continued focus on Diversity & Inclusion by attracting a diverse workforce to our company by identifying talented people of varied backgrounds, experiences and styles.
  • Works closely with TA Specialists to ensure a clear understanding of skillsets, requirements and experience needed for identified roles and forecasted demand required for pipelining efforts. Also collaborates with TA team members to gain greater understanding about the organizations we support. Support also extends to arranging interviews for TA Specialists as required
  • Ensures strict adherence with TA processes to ensure compliance with compliance requirements. Ensure required documentation is maintained and assists with audit process as required.
  • Provides applicant tracking and reporting as needed; conduct data analytics when required. Enter data into Applicant Tracking System(s) to ensure accurate and consistent tracking of candidates from the research to telephone screen stage of the recruitment process.
The key duties of a Sourcing Specialist will include:
  • Sourcing, pre-screening and selecting suitable candidates for submission to TA Recruitment Specialist based on specifications
  • Actively searching for candidates who have the skills, knowledge and experience to meet the needs of the client vacancies using direct sourcing methods and candidate sourcing databases
  • Ability to make timely decisions on the basic suitability of a candidate for a role and make contact with all candidates that fit this criteria.
  • Pro-actively contacting candidates to discuss their career aspirations, skills, experience and matching these with the requirements of available roles
  • Acting quickly on requests from consultants to source candidates in order to utilize lead times productively
  • Creating and posting engaging job advertisements
  • Mapping markets and Developing talent pools
  • Demonstrating a concern for delivering a high standard of service for candidates
  • Conducting telephone interviews and arrange interviews with the hiring manager
  • Managing the candidate journey and expectations, advising of the benefits of available roles and updating candidate profiles
  • Building a full understanding of the candidate marketplace to ensure up to date knowledge of talent availability, market rates and business/ technology trends
  • Other general office duties as required
