Job Description

Key Responsibilities



1. Tax Compliance & Filing



Handle the detailed computation of personal and corporate taxes, ensuring all tax returns are submitted accurately and punctually. Coordinate with tax agents to ensure strict adherence to the Malaysian Income Tax Act and related legislation. Maintain current knowledge of local and global tax laws.

2. Tax Estimates & Payments



Help prepare tax estimates, process required amendments, and oversee monthly tax installment management. Handle tax payments and refunds, and communicate with the LHDN to guarantee the timely resolution of all tax matters.

3. Withholding Tax



Handle all aspects of the WHT lifecycle, guaranteeing accurate computation, proper documentation, and timely submission.

4. Tax Records & Reporting



Maintain all tax records and supporting documentation with meticulous organization to comply with audit and internal requirements. Keep all documentation systematically organized for compliance and efficient audit preparation.

5. General Accounting & Financial Support



Handle end-to-end accounting, encompassing Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and bank reconciliations. Help manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow to ensure the company's financial health. Verify complete compliance with all financial regulations, standards, and internal control policies.

6. Audit & Reporting



Support internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to all auditor inquiries. Manage all client and stakeholder inquiries professionally, quickly, and efficiently.

7. Ad-Hoc Support & Research



Undertake special projects and conduct required research on tax matters as directed by management. Stay current with tax and financial matters to enhance efficiency and compliance.

Requirements



Professional Certificate, ACCA, CPA, or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field. Knowledge of Malaysian tax laws and general accounting practices.

At least 1 year of relevant work experience required; candidates with 2+ years of experience may be considered for a senior-level role.

At least 1 year experience with UBS system or autocount. Ability to speak Mandarin/Chinese will be considered an added advantage due to the nature of client interactions. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Proficiency in accounting software is a plus. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
