Role Overview & Primary Accountabilities: Responsible for local tax compliance of Australia and New Zealand entities, including annual corporate income tax, withholding tax, GST. Responsible for monthly tax provision for China and Hong Kong entities. Prepare monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations in Blackline. Ensuring the timely and accurate preparation & lodgment of returns (direct and indirect tax), reviewing tax computations, monitor tax payments, and tax accounts.Ensure that the company optimizes its tax position and to minimize tax exposure and maximize available opportunities is to be executed within the context of maintaining the Company\'s status. Liaise with Tax Agents on any queries pertaining to Tax matters. Collaborate and develop strong relationships with Business Unit and Regional tax COE. Ongoing assistance with the US LE reporting processes including liaison with Global Services and US Global tax team, making sure all deadlines are met and accuracy and credibility of reporting are being maintained. Preparation of USGAAP tax accounting and reporting in addition to local GAAP tax accounting. Experience in working with tax integrator tools like CCHI. Support on local transfer pricing documentation/advice Gain the necessary knowledge to assist with tax activities on an as-needed basis, including special projects. Essential Requirements: Degree in Accounting or professional accounting qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, or its equivalent. Minimum 4 years of relevant working experience and preferably in the same capacity. Knowledge of APAC countries - corporate tax regimes, Indirect tax regimes, and US GAAP compliance requirement. Computer literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Office and computerized accounting software, knowledge in SAP will be an added advantage. Knowledge of tax reporting tools is preferred. Able to meet stringent reporting deadlines and handle corporate reporting responsibilities. Team player with good communication & interpersonal skills An independent person with a high degree of maturity, integrity & initiative Good command of written and spoken in English & Mandarin. Ability to communicate tax issues to non-finance professionals and to make recommendations.
