Job Responsibilities
The Tax Intern will assist with the tax team with Malaysia tax compliance, United States tax compliance, worldwide transfer pricing, other worldwide tax compliance, and worldwide income tax audits. The position will report to the Senior International Tax Manager in Malaysia and work closely with other members of the finance organization and the tax department in the United States.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and review of Malaysia corporate income tax returns
- Assist in the preparation of workpapers for the United States federal consolidated income tax return and state income tax returns
- Assist with preparation of Malaysian indirect tax returns
- Assist in the review of transfer pricing documentation and calculations
- Assist with preparation and review of income tax provision workpapers
- Assist with internal controls documentation and compliance
- Currently pursuing a Degree / Diploma in Accounting, Economics or relevant field
- Willingness to learn on the job
- Good communication skills in English - both oral and written
- Good organizational and coordination skills and attention to detail
- Can prioritize and adhere to deadlines
- Can work in a team-oriented environment
- Good technology and computer skills
