:Our vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life for all.Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever.Malaysia responsibilities:Prepare and review of regional corporate taxes and Indirect taxesPrepare and review of quarterly tax provision, tax estimates, deferred taxation and tax packagesSupport Transfer Pricing requirements as neededCoordinate with local finance team and external advisors to work on significant tax mattersLead tax audit defenseLead tax planning initiatives such as tax incentives and creditsLead various tax projects as neededMaintain professional relationships with external advisors, auditors and local tax authoritiesWork closely with business units to understand business and function as a trusted business advisor regarding tax mattersGlobal responsibilities:Management of outsourced compliance function for designated entities in APAC, EMEA, and US including direct and indirect taxesCollaborate with US based tax team to assist with the preparation US federal returns, US international tax forms and state tax returns (e.g.1120, 5471, 8858, 8975, etc)Support US based tax accounting group and country leads with APAC tax accounting and reportingCollaborate with Global tax team to improve processes by developing or implementing best practices from a tax perspective (standardization and automation of processes)Collaborate with Accounting on various tax needs and projectsLiaison for internal and external parities (external Tax agents and auditors) on the preparation tax computation and tax estimatesSupports regional tax related auditsSupports various global tax projects as needed including research, analysis, technical memosRequirements:Professional qualification is added advantage (MIA/ACCA/CPA etc)Minimum of 8 years of tax experience in Public Accounting firm and in Commercial (for Manager role) covering both direct and indirect taxes for US/APAC/EMEA regionsFamiliar with USGAAP accounting and SAP knowledge is an added advantage. Experience with a variety of taxing jurisdictions and affiliated income tax filing requirementsWell versed in accounting standards (MFRS, IFRS) and policiesKeep abreast with the latest development in tax laws in various jurisdictionsGood knowledge of Indirect taxes and withholding tax laws to provide tax adviceProficient in Microsoft office productsMeticulous and detail orientedExperience in working with global tax team with US headquartersStrong communication skills, proficient in English speaking and writingKnowledge of Mandarin and Japanese language is an added advantage.Good people management and stakeholder management skillsAbout Micron Technology, Inc.We are an industry leader in innovative memory and storage solutions transforming how the world uses information to enrich life for all.
