The opportunity EY requires a professional who will take responsibility for driving and supporting our Operational Excellence agenda and work to implement various Operations and Finance-related initiatives in Malaysia Tax. You will have the opportunity to build relationships, drive initiatives and shape solutions across our Malaysia Tax business, understand the markets and issues, and collaborate with other teams within EY Malaysia. The position will report to the Malaysia Tax Leader andthe key stakeholders will be the Malaysia Tax Sub-Service Line Leaders. The role requires close interactions with Service Line support, i.e., Finance team, Market Operations team, Talent team, Resource team and Quality and Risk Management team. Your key responsibilities Finance & Business Operations Review and monitor all key financial measures and KPIs in alignment with our business priorities, for example, TNR, margin, utilization, revenue days, headcount, attrition rate and etc Provide robust regular performance and dashboard reporting with insightful, timely, forward looking and action-oriented commentaries. This involvesworking with relevant support functions as required (e.g., Talent team for recruitment, Resource team for resource allocations, Learning & Development team for training and etc) Work closely with Engagement Partners and Engagement Managers to develop and execute action plans to close the gaps for key financial measures and KPIs Support the Malaysia Tax Leader in the yearly planning activities (e.g., capacity planning, book of business, key accounts revenue plans and etc) and half-yearly forecasting exercise Drive and monitor compliance around operational hygiene areas to meet internal business requirements Process Improvement Analyse, articulate and monitor operational performance issues. Investigate anomalies and coordinate with leaders for the information required, escalate issues, assist in providing insights and solutions Develop and implement strategic and operational initiatives to drive end to end business performance improvements Drive local implementation for global / area centralization initiatives Others Prepare management materials, analysis, and narratives for Executiveor Leadership Team meetings Provide communications support to the Malaysia Tax Leader, e.g., Town Halls, and internal communications memo, and liaising with communications functions in EY Provide support to Malaysia Tax Leader for any special projects and initiatives that are rolled out from time-to-time by EY Global, Area and Region In all of the above you will be expected tobuild and maintain relationships and work with thevarious stakeholders across EY to organize, coordinate and manage work progress. Skills and attributes for success Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent project management skills Advanced written and verbal communication skills Agile, dedicated, innovative, resourceful, analytical and able to work under pressure Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously Strong people management skills and able to work in cross-functional teams and manage different stakeholders To qualify for the role you must have A bachelor's degree with at least 8years of working experience, preferably in consulting or relevant industry Experience in an operations-related, business management or control function is preferred Ideally, you'll also have Advanced Excel & PowerPoint skills - e.g., Pivot, vlookups and ability to manipulate and draw trends from vast amounts of data Data analytics skills such as PowerBI What we look for Highly motivated individuals with the skills and attributes to succeed.
