Meet The Team This new position will play a vital role in Dexcom\'s Tax and Treasury Team. Due to Dexcom\'s growth, we are looking to grow our already global team and recruit a Tax Senior Manager responsible for the Asia Pacific (\'APAC\') region. This position will work alongside fellow team members in the APAC region, as well as team members in the United States (\'US\') and European regions. The Tax Senior Manager will report to the Global Tax Structure, M&A, and Provision Director (\'Tax Director\'), who is based in the US, and support Dexcom in all areas of APAC income taxation, including provision, compliance, planning, and audit defense. This position will be based in Penang, Malaysia and be able to visit the office at least three times a week. Where You Come In Responsible for planning and managing the tax compliance timetable for the APAC region ensuring that all local tax reporting and payment deadlines are met. Review of corporate tax returns prepared by external advisors for the APAC region and submit for approval and signature. Prepare return to provision calculations. Review all APAC ASC 740 calculations, under US GAAP, for the quarterly and annual group financial reporting periods. Responsible for managing the APAC withholding tax compliance, including for vendor-related transactions, and assist in implementing withholding tax into the Accounts Payable processes. Assist the Tax Senior Manager - International VAT, with indirect tax for Philippines, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, and other countries in the APAC region at the direction of the Tax Senior Manager - International VAT. Work closely with the APAC finance teams and provide all required tax support, including coordinating and working with external advisors and financial auditors as needed. Work with the corporate tax team and liaise with the APAC finance team to respond to tax audits and preparing appropriate supporting data to defend positions and resolve issues. Assist and aid in maintaining the corporate governance for entities within the APAC region. Display a continuous improvement mindset and make suggestions for ways we can work more productively and efficiently. Additional duties as assigned. What Makes You Successful 7+ years of corporate tax experience with increasing responsibilities in a high-growth, public, multinational corporation, and Big 4/National public accounting firm. Recent industry experience within the last 3+ years is required. Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic high-performance team environment. Strong knowledge of Malaysia taxation, other global tax schemes, and a good understanding of international tax concepts including transfer pricing, permanent establishment, and any other OECD/EU tax initiatives, such as Pillar 2. Good working knowledge of US GAAP, MFRS, or other statutory financial accounting standards. Good working knowledge of US and international tax interaction. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Ability to meet deadlines, even under high pressure situations, and commit to overtime as necessary. Desire to learn and grow in the role, and willingness to accept and incorporate feedback. Effective communication and research skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Self-motivated, with the ability to self-manage with little instruction. Demonstrate ownership of high-quality work product with documented self-review. Ability to perform complex analyses, interpret, and evaluate various precedents and data.
