Training & Qualifications: \xe2\x80\xa2 Fluent in written and spoken English. \xe2\x80\xa2 A relevant qualification (bachelors, postgraduate diploma or masters) \xe2\x80\xa2 Computer literate \xe2\x80\x93 familiar with MS Office \xe2\x80\xa2 Previous experience working in a library is an advantage. \xe2\x80\xa2 A working knowledge of library cataloguing / dewy decimal is preferred but not essential as training can be given. \xe2\x80\xa2 Knowledgeable about children\xe2\x80\x99s and young adult literature The responsibilities of the teacher librarian include: \xe2\x80\xa2 Oversee the operation of the school & teacher library, management of the library collections, acquisitions, cataloguing, & processing, loans, inventory, and day-to-day functioning of the library as an information hub. \xe2\x80\xa2 Provision of library lessons & support for students undertaking research \xe2\x80\xa2 Oversee library support staff & student librarians & liaise with curriculum / subject department lead teachers. \xe2\x80\xa2 To work with a high level of organization; attention to detail; the ability to prioritise and problem solve are important skills.
