TEACHER LIBRARIAN We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for a teacher librarian who is passionate about books and reading to engage our young students in reading, assist with library lessons and information literacy programmes and oversee the development of our library collection. Training & Qualifications: \xc2\xb7 Fluent in written and spoken English. \xc2\xb7 A relevant qualification (bachelors, postgraduate diploma or masters) \xc2\xb7 Computer literate \xe2\x80\x93 familiar with MS Office \xc2\xb7 Previous experience working in a library is an advantage. \xc2\xb7 A working knowledge of library cataloguing / dewy decimal is preferred but not essential as training can be given. \xc2\xb7 Knowledgeable about children\xe2\x80\x99s and young adult literature The responsibilities of the teacher librarian include: \xc2\xb7 Oversee the operation of the school & teacher library, management of the library collections, acquisitions, cataloguing, & processing, loans, inventory, and day-to-day functioning of the library as an information hub. \xc2\xb7 Provision of library lessons & support for students undertaking research \xc2\xb7 Oversee library support staff & student librarians & liaise with curriculum / subject department lead teachers. \xc2\xb7 To work with a high level of organization; attention to detail; the ability to prioritise and problem solve are important skills. email your applications to recruitment(@)sasana.edu.my Job Type: Full-time Salary: RM3,000.00 - RM4,000.00 per month Benefits:
