Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated, hands-on, and customer-focused

Team Leader

to join our retail team specializing in pet shop operations. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for retail and strong supervisory potential to lead a small team in delivering excellent customer service and operational excellence. Remuneration is inclusive of Basic Pay, Sales Commission , Incentives and Overtime ( Full-shift)

Key Responsibilities

Supervise daily retail operations, ensuring the team delivers outstanding customer service. Lead by example in engaging with customers, promoting products, and handling inquiries. Oversee the proper display and restocking of products on shelves, ensuring optimal product placement. Ensure promotional signage and pricing labels are correctly placed and updated. Monitor cleanliness standards, ensuring animal enclosures, gondolas, shelves, and floors are clean and well-maintained. Take responsibility for handling and caring for animals--particularly dogs--ensuring welfare and hygiene standards are maintained. Perform and oversee daily cash handling and reconciliation, ensuring accurate end-of-day sales reporting. Assist in staff training, task delegation, and performance monitoring.

Requirements Education:

Minimum

SPM full certificate

required. Additional certifications are an added advantage.

Experience:

6 to 12 months

of experience in retail preferred. Supervisory or non-retail experience will also be considered. Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Skills:

Strong leadership and team coordination abilities. Excellent communication and customer engagement skills. A hands-on and proactive approach to work. A genuine love for animals and willingness to handle livestock, especially dogs.
