Key Result Areas

ROCKWOOL achieves a competitive advantage through our Operational Excellence program (ROPEX). The ROPEX Lead is at the forefront, driving continuous improvement through setting the agenda and targets for ROPEX at the country level. As our ROPEX lead you set strategic planning to execution of Kaizen events and improvement initiatives, then follow-up on implementation and results. It is key to the role of ROPEX Lead, to ensure a continuous development of the ROPEX maturity level by building a strong continuous improvement culture at the factory as well as realizing tangible business results.

The ROPEX Lead is at the forefront of continuous improvement efforts and ultimately responsible for ensuring value streams that not only flow at the rate of customer demand but are made visual in such a way and to such a degree that every employee in the organization can physically see that flow and fix the flow before it breaks down.

Job Responsibilities

  • As the Lead of ROPEX, owns and improves the standards that will be implemented throughout the value streams or areas/teams within the plant.
  • Responsible for driving, managing and developing the ROPEX program in the plant to gain tangible business results and improvements in areas such as Productivity, Production Output, Customer satisfaction, Quality and Safety.
  • Implement standardized Group ROPEX processes as well as facilitate the deployment of ROPEX fundamentals in the plant.
  • Establish and develop Lean Leadership and Obeya/performance management as a strong discipline to ensure that the ROPEX culture is well respected and sustained; provide coaching/guidance in Lean Standard Work, Gemba and Obeya.
  • Plan and conduct training in ROPEX tools to include planning, facilitating and following up on Kaizen events and in systematic root cause and complex problem solving as needed to ensure ROPEX awareness and practical application in continuous improvement become a natural part of everyday life in the plant.
  • Analyze performance key factors (PKF) and follow-up on the portfolio of projects, Kaizen and improvement initiatives to ensure results are measured and achieved. Support operational diagnostics to identify opportunities for improvement.
Job Requirement
  • Engineer. BE Mechanical / BE Electrical
  • Minimum 6-8 years of industrial experience in operational excellence in continuous process industry
  • Excellent Presentation Skills
  • Preferable has experience in Continuous Improvement / Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and is a team player.
  • Required language(s): Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia
