A Virtualisation technical leader is a senior level technical expert in virtual infrastructure and architecture who has in-depth knowledge and experience managing VMware, Citrix and Azure Compute platform. The ideal candidate possesses a wide range of skills and abilities that are essential for providing advanced technical guidance and serve as a lead technical subject matter expert responsible for implementing, maintaining, supporting, and overseeing enterprise-grade virtualisation environment and technologies. As part of the Global Technology Operations team, you will be working closely with the Engineering Team, Information Security Team, and Managed Service Providers (MSP) to manage and support organization mission critical systems. You will define operational support standards and look to document, train, and manage Integrated Operations Center skilled contingent workers to perform level 2 and level 3 technical support and the support of any routine operational activities. Serving as the deep Subject Matter Expert (SME) and lead the design, configuration, implementation, and support of company\'s virtualisation technologies and infrastructure. As level 3 SME, troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the overall virtualisation infrastructure, including system failures, performance issues, software errors, and security breaches. Show ownership of issues through resolution and able to solve complex operations issues by investigating technically and/or work both independently and collaboratively with other IT teams, vendors, technology leaders, as well as end-users when necessary. Participate in on-call incident support and provide 24x7 standby coverage as needed. Analyse environments and be capable of providing recommendations on security, performance, capacity, and compliance. Assess and monitor of all enterprise virtualisation for integrity, reliability, resource utilisation, performance and availability and implement performancen tuning as necessary. Develop, maintain, and drive documented standards, policies, procedures, inventory, and methodologies for operational support excellence to increased efficiency of the virtualisation infrastructure environment. Build, maintain and manage MSP technical leads with the competency and capability to resolve and diagnose complex issues and problems related to virtual machines, hosts, storage, networking, and other virtualisation components. Work with peers to refine the operational support and improvement strategy, evaluate existing systems, processes, and identifying any design gaps or risks.. Lead and drive life cycle management / upgrades, disaster recovery exercise, backup & recovery, incident response planning, and problem resolution management. Work with MSP provides oversight for service level agreement. Manage resources to assure system availability and capacity for growth. Assist in IT change management / ticket reviews, approvals, and planning.mDesirable Qualifications, Skills and Experience Bachelor\'s degree and/or advanced diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or relevant field. 10+ years of experience in systems infrastructure design, support, and administration, with at least 7+ years of extensive experience working in an Infrastructure Operations team managing critical IT Infrastructure on various virtualisation platforms, focusing on Citrix and VMware. Only candidate with \'hands-on\' SME experience with either VMWare or Citrix basedtechnical competency need to apply. Candidate who is highly proficient in both VMWare andCitrix is strongly desirable and preferred. Required certifications & experience - Citrix: 7+ years of practical experience in deploying and managing large Citrix environments ( 3000 concurrent users). Experience with Citrix technologies,including CVAD (Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops), Citrix NetScaler, Web Interface/StoreFront, Citrix Provisioning and Machine Creation Services (MCS),App-V Integration, Citrix App Layering, Citrix Workspace Environment Manager,UPM, FSLogix. Experience working with Citrix Cloud Group Policy and Citrix Policy Experience as a Citrix engineer/architect with responsibilities including roadmap& architecture review, assessments, planning, implementation, and upgrades/migrations of Citrix solutions. Possess a detailed understanding of architectural dependencies of Citrix technologies. One or more of the following relevant certifications: Citrix Certified Enterprise Engineer (CCEE), Citrix Certified Enterprise Administrator (CCEA), Citrix Certified Professional - Virtualization (CCP-V) Citrix Certified Expert -Virtualization (CCE-V), Citrix Certified Professional - Networking (CCP-N). Required certifications & experience - VMware: 7+ years practical experience with VMware environment in complex clusteredenvironments with strong experience on installing, configuring &administering enterprise-level solutions, migration, performance tuning, disasterrecovery & troubleshooting. Deployed and managed server infrastructure based on VMware product suchas vSphere, vCenter, vSAN, NSX, VMware Update Manger, vCenterOrchestrator. Strong experience in VMware Site Recovery Manager, vCloud Director, vCenterCloud Automation, vRA, Horizon product suite. Strong experience in upgrading ESXI host and it\'s related infrastructure and VMguest migration Familiar with P2P and P2V tools e.g. vMotion, VMware Converter. One or more of the following relevant certifications: VMware CertifiedProfessional (VCP), VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP), VMwareCertified Design Expert (VCDX), VMware Certified Implementation Expert(VCIX), VMware Digital Workspace Specialist. Desirable certifications & experience (Good to have): Good knowledge of Microsoft Azure / Google Cloud Compute Services and itsarchitecture, including virtual networks, virtual machines and load balancing. Good working knowledge of server, storage, backup and desktop virtualizationtechnologies. Understanding of current and previous versions of Microsoft Windows Server andrelated Wintel technologies. Understanding of current and previous versions of RHEL, and related technologies. Understanding of CyberArk, Splunk, Qualys, BMC True Sight, BMC Entuity, Remedy Force, JIRA and Confluence. Familiarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python, and ability toautomate repetitive tasks. One or more of the following relevant certifications: PMP, ITIL v3/4, MCSE,MCSA, Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator, Red Hat Certified SystemAdministrator Experience implementing, upgrading, re-engineering, and administering/managingtechnical solutions in major, large-scale system implementations. Proven track record of troubleshooting and resolving issues related to virtualisationinfrastructure and be able to work closely with other teams within the organization to ensurethe availability and reliability of the systems. Self-driven & motivated, tenacious problem solver will own issues until full resolution. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fluent in both speaking and writingEnglish. Ability to build and maintain relationships and work cross functionally and interactconfidently across all channels. Ability to carry out tasks to a high standard with a strong eye for attention to detail andthorough approach to their work. Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent judgement, and possessa passion for continuous learning. Background in regulated global companies a plus (financial institutions, pharmaceutical,healthcare, or similar). Experience managing and working with MSP, minimum of 3 years of experience leadingdiverse technical teams Working Hours Monday to Friday exclude Public Holiday. Production network changes will only be allowedduring the window provided by business. Candidates should be prepared and flexible to workduring non-business and extra hours when implementing the project or other supportingactivities as required.Travel Traveling may be needed for projects during implementation and should 10%.
