Together, we are embarking on a journey where each and every one of us, individually and collectively, welcomes and celebrates individual differences.Join us as Technical Promotion Specialist for the Electrification Smart Buildings/Smart Power Business Area where you will be planning and implementing proactive promotional activities for the assigned target audience (consultants, design institutes, engineering/architect offices, authorities etc.) to create the market demand and need for the features/products. Reporting to Technical and Design Promotion Manager and this position will be based in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia.Your responsibilities

• Implementing proactive promotional activities for the customer target group, including e.g., technical presentations, demonstrations, seminars, education material and technical development of projects and solutions
• Preparing plans for visits and performing regular status reviews, including the analysis and output of the target audience visits
• Establishing and maintaining effective long-term relationships with target group customers to understand their current, future needs and ensuring that customer has a good understanding of the full ABB product/systems/services offering, features and benefits
• Making a positive experience for the customer target group throughout the promotion activities
• Creating a vision of a loyal, committed, and long-term customer relationship and implementing the necessary action plan and steps to reach the vision
• Providing customer support in answering technical questions, performing electrical calculations for the design institutes and technical consultants
• Ensuring efficient marketing activities and strong value proposition to customers by using effective promotional techniques
• Communicating details in accordance with ABB offering and strategy and managing, driving education of the target audience by conducting and organizing appropriate training interventions

Your background

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree preferably in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent
• More than 5 years of experience in electrical sales support and business development, dealing with consultants and assisting in the tendering process (specification)
• Strong relationship or network in M&E consultant and industry knowledge of general industry, semi-conductor or data center are preferrable
• Possesses good negotiation, presentation and communication skills, positive attitude, team player and self-motivated
• Willingness to travel of 30%
• Fluent in written and spoken English
