Technical Sales support -Electrical Package Engineer

Join us as Technical Sales support - Electrical Package Engineer for the Energy Industries Division for the Process Automation Business Area where you will be the Technical Specialist for the Electrification solutions (EHouse Package, HV, LV, MV, UPS, HVAC, PMS, etc) within the Oil & Gas, Chemicals & Refineries and Power & Water segments. You will support the local Sales organization/customers in determining the most technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions and prepare technical descriptions of the applied products and technology to support the sales process. Reporting to Technical Sales Support Manager and this position will be based in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia.

Your responsibilities

• Offering technical advice and providing comment to support in early engagement, conceptual studies, FEED, and on enquiry specifications for customers/Account Managers with regards to ABB\xe2\x80\x99s integrated Electrification, Controls, Telecommunications & Digital (ECTD) solutions. You will work in collaboration with other TSSS within their domain (i.e. Controls, Telco, etc)
• Providing technical support during the technical meeting, product presentations and negotiations
• Supporting customer in early engagement for conceptual & FEED works. Reviewing RFQs/ITBs and developing technical proposal, cost and ensuring optimized technical selections
• Handling EHouse packages to review & developing Manpower Loading, Equipment Loading, Project Execution Plan, Fabrication Plan working with selected fabricators
• Offering product/solution related training. Preparing and checking technical articles for publication and at times present papers in technical forums
• Acting as champion for ABB\xe2\x80\x99s commitment to fostering a culture where Compliance & Integrity is woven into the fabric of everything we do

Your background

• Engineering degree with more than 12 years of expertise in Energy Industry area
• More than 12 years of experience in Electrical background, preferably with EHouse Package experience
• Experience in Asia Pacific customer base \xe2\x80\x93 Oil & Gas, and/or Chemical & Refinery Industries
• International, cross-BU and cross-division experience and good communication skills, English is mandatory
