Technical Sales Support Specialist - Electrical

In this role, you will be the Subject Matter Expert for the Electrification solutions (HV, LV, MV, PMS, etc) within the Oil & Gas, Chemicals & Refineries and Power & Water segments. Reporting to Commercial Operations Director, you will support the local Sales organization/customers in determining the most technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions and prepare technical descriptions of the applied products and technology to support the sales process. Serve as a key technical resource for the Asia region. This position is based at Subang Jaya, Malaysia.

Your responsibilities

• Offering technical advice and provides comment to support in early engagement, conceptual studies, FEED, and on enquiry specifications for customers/Account Managers with regards to ABB\xe2\x80\x99s integrated Electrification, Controls, Telecommunications & Digital (ECTD) solutions
• Working in collaboration with other Application Engineers (AE) within their domain (i.e. Electrical, Con-trols, Telco, etc)
• Providing technical support during the technical meeting, product presentations and negotiations
• Performing analytic and diagnostic studies to determine most suitable technical solution to meet customer needs by proposing technical solutions for complex enquiries
• Preparing and delivering technical presentations and demonstrations for both internal staff and cus-tomers on complex product issues
• Offering product/solution/service-related training and preparing and checking technical articles for publication

Your background

• Engineering degree and 8+ years of expertise in Energy Industry area
• Experience in multi-disciplinary electrical / automation / Control projects and application
• Experience in Asia Pacific customer base \xe2\x80\x93 Oil & Gas, and/or Chemical & Refinery Industries
• International, cross-BU and cross-division experience
