Monday to Friday from 8:30am-5:30pm

Job Summary:



The Desktop Support Engineer will be responsible for providing technical assistance to end users, ensuring the smooth operation of computer systems, and resolving hardware and software issues. This role involves both on-site and remote support, requiring excellent problem-solving skills and a customer-centric approach.

Key Responsibilities:



Technical Support

: Have experience respond promptly to VIP's user and users inquiries, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues.

System Maintenance

: Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, operating systems, and applications.

Network Troubleshooting

: Identify and resolve network connectivity issues to ensure seamless access for users.

User Training

: Provide guidance and training to users on system usage, best practices, and security protocols.

Documentation

: Maintain accurate records of support requests, solutions provided, and system configurations.

Continuous Improvement

: Collaborate with IT teams to implement improvements and updates to systems and processes.

Qualifications:



Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience as a Desktop Support Engineer or in a similar technical support role. Advanced knowledge of computer hardware systems, operating systems, and software applications. Familiarity with network protocols and troubleshooting techniques. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Preferred Skills:

Experience with remote support tools and techniques. Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), or similar. Knowledge of ITIL practices and principles.
Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM3,600.00 per month
