IT Technical Support Specialists ensure that computer systems and networks function effectively while providing support to end-users. They diagnose and resolve technical issues, maintain hardware and software, and guide users to enhance their overall experience with technology.
Responsibilities
Understand and follow the
technical support ticketing process
and procedures.
Complete technical tasks and assignments according to the ticketing system.
Track ticket status to ensure
SLAs (Service Level Agreements)
are met.
Prepare
daily and detailed technical support reports
for customers.
Update daily and weekly status reports as required by supervisors or managers.
Perform
technical fault finding
and contribute to
root cause analysis
and solution implementation.
Standby for
ad hoc technical support
on a rotation basis.
Conduct
site visits
to gather information and assist the Engineering team in preparing solutions and proposals.
Perform
scheduled preventive maintenance
, completing checklists and reports in a timely manner.
Complete any other tasks as assigned by the superior.
Requirements:
Minimum
Diploma in IT, Computer Science or equivalent
.
1-2 years of experience
providing frontline IT support.
Hands-on experience troubleshooting hardware and software issues, responding to support tickets, and documenting issues systematically.
Understanding of
networking concepts and protocols
.
Knowledge of hardware components and troubleshooting techniques.
Ability to
prioritize multiple tasks efficiently
to meet SLAs.
Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 24 months
Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
