Job Description

About the Role In line with the operating plan, policies and procedures for the production of documentation and under guidance of management, to perform and/or manage the writing, the updating and the creation of complex documentation that enables users to make optimum use of SWIFT products and services.

Education

Preferably university degree in IT or equivalent

Experience

At least 8 years of experience as technical writer or editor in software development, preferably in telecommunications and/or financial services

Key Responsibilities

01 . Define and analyse the target audiences for complex documentation project in order to understand their business environment and to identify their information requirements and any knowledge gaps.

02 . Define and obtain approval on the documentation set, the delivery media and the project plan, for more complex documentation projects.

03 . Write, revise and control texts in time for the project\'s completion so as to satisfy users\' information requirements relating to products/services and ensuring consistency, relevance, accuracy and readability across all SWIFT products.

04 . Ensure the documentation is reviewed for accuracy by the appropriate parties and is signed off by accountable parties before publishing

05 . Conduct peer reviews (with IT project team, product management and customer facing colleagues) and incorporate feedback from pilot users and usability tests.

06 . Review and edit documentation ensuring consistency, relevance, accuracy and readability and ease of use across all SWIFT products

07 . Coordinate and supervise a documentation project team and ensure documentation project remains synchronised with the development project

08 . Assist less experienced writers and share knowledge/experience
