Candidate must possess at least a Certificate in Civil Engineering or any related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of working experience in construction works.
Knowledgeable in the field of construction, supervising work on the construction site, skilled in the field of contract preparation and multitasking.
Skills in technical measurement, bill of quantities, drawing, specification & physical work supervision.
Good communication skills in English and Malay, both oral and written.
Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office programs; Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: The roles are to support the various responsibilities of the Civil Engineering & Infrastructure Department including:
Execute and monitor scheduled preventive maintenance plans;
Execute and monitor on-going project/ repair works (i.e. record site-diary, on-site work supervision, daily work progress);
Conduct daily tool-box briefing to relevant employees/ contractors;
Ensure work is carried out in a timely manner and in accordance with the expected work specifications;
Ensure that employees/ contractor complies with relevant legislation, safety guidelines and conditions of works in the Port area (KP, KPA & Freezone regulations);
Resolve minor issues on-site with the relevant stakeholders;
Maintain a record of all on-site problems and report to the supervisor;
Assist to streamline on-site works to avoid delays in entering the work area;
Assisting in the preparation of payments to contractors (Interim, Final Payments, Release of Retention money)
