Job Description

• Installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems, equipment, and components in accordance with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Troubleshooting and diagnosing problems with electrical systems and equipment, and providing effective solutions to ensure smooth operations.
• Reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, diagrams, and schematics to determine the layout and location of electrical wiring, equipment, and components.
• Testing electrical systems and equipment to identify any malfunctions, and performing necessary repairs or adjustments to ensure optimal performance.
• Using a variety of hand and power tools, as well as diagnostic equipment, to install, repair, and maintain electrical systems and equipment.
• Maintaining accurate records of all work completed, including repair and installation documentation, maintenance logs, and safety reports.
• Collaborating with other technicians and engineers to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for upgrades or new equipment.
• Ensuring compliance with all safety procedures and regulations, including the use of appropriate personal protective equipment and adherence to lockout/tagout procedures.
• In addition to these technical responsibilities, an electrical technician may also be expected to have strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• May be required to work in a variety of settings, including commercial and residential buildings, manufacturing facilities, and outdoor environments.
