Job Summary:

The Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel's facilities, equipment, and systems. This includes electrical, plumbing, air-conditioning, mechanical, and general maintenance work to provide a safe, comfortable, and well-functioning environment for guests and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repair work on hotel equipment, systems, and facilities (electrical, mechanical, plumbing, air-conditioning, refrigeration, and carpentry). Respond promptly to maintenance requests, breakdowns, and guest complaints, ensuring minimal disruption to hotel operations. Ensure proper use of tools, equipment, and materials while maintaining safety standards. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and inventory of spare parts. Support in the installation of new equipment or systems as required. Coordinate with external contractors or suppliers when specialized repairs are needed. Adhere to safety, health, and environmental policies, ensuring compliance with hotel and legal standards. Assist in emergency procedures (fire, power outage, flooding, etc.) and provide technical support when needed. Work closely with other departments to ensure guest satisfaction through timely and effective maintenance support. Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.

Requirements:

Diploma / Certificate in Electrical, Mechanical, or related field preferred. Proven experience as a technician, preferably in the hospitality industry. Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and air-conditioning systems. Ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of technical issues. Physically fit and able to work in shifts, including weekends and public holidays. Good communication skills and a team player. Strong attention to detail and safety consciousness.

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM1,900.00 per month
