Job Description


OBJECTIVES Under full supervision to perform all mechanical maintenance activities on the platform/plant and provide secondary support in other skill areas as required Participate in diagnosis of machinery and equipment faults. Under full supervision, perform routine and corrective maintenance on process, utility, marine systems equipment including safety and emergency response machinery. To participate in Emergency Response. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES Carry out both routine and breakdown maintenance whenever required. Aware of piping class and PNID as a reference tools (Vessel, PSV, gasket, bolting identification. Participate in PSV removal & testing procedure / requirement, online greasing Calm Buoy PM and floating hose change out. Understanding of bolting procedure. Participate on shaft and pulley alignment to the acceptable limit. Understand in precision measuring tools usage and storage. Pump - bearing and mechanical seal replacement and PM tasks (participate). Compressor - understand of working principle and troubleshooting, able to identify parts for ordering, PM (participate). Gas & diesel engine - understand of working principle and troubleshooting, able to identify parts for ordering, PM (Participate) Crane - wire rope inspection and maintenance, hydraulic system, load test, trouble shooting of entire package (Participate) Air fin cooler - belting, bearing, pulley, fan blade repair/change out (Participate) Comply with HSE Management system by demonstrating high standard of housekeeping and safe work practices. Participate as appropriate during plant upset and emergency. Monitor equipment parameter / surveillance taken by Ops and highlighted anomaly (compare to previous reading) to his immediate supervisor. Proper follow up on facility inventories & proper handover notes to his back-to-back/supervisor e.g. equipment condition/status, hand tools, consumable, test equipment, critical spare etc. Participate in lifting and rigging activities when required. Able to produce anomalies, troubleshooting, technical, shutdown, repair report. Maintain general housekeeping of the equipment. AUTHORITIES Authority and work as directed by Supervisor. Participate in onshore/offshore commissioning as part of an integrated team with the contractor. Perform the assigned maintenance tasks on plant and equipment to maximize production and plant / equipment availability. Responsible as SAP work requestor Acknowledge the Vendor report and time sheet Assist to produce troubleshooting and repair report QUALIFICATION: A Certificate or a Diploma qualification in Mechanical Engineering or relevant technical experience Demonstrate behavior and capability attain continuous competency TG1 level in maintenance mechanical engineering. Awareness on regulation and policies, e.g. PPGUA and MMIG Experience in computer-based maintenance management systems. Computer literate like MS Word or Microsoft Office Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is desirable. 3 years\' experience as a mechanical maintenance technician in a hydrocarbon process plant environment of which at least 3 years will have been on offshore/onshore installations. Previous work on drilling rigs or semi-subs would advantageous.
