About the job

The Tenant Design Manager for a shopping center is responsible for maintaining high standards of presentation and functionality for all tenants in the portfolio. The role is to ensure business-driven retail design solutions, timely store delivery, and minimize downtime in the income stream due to programmed openings. The key responsibilities of the role is also to work closely with the CMO team and retailers, their designers, and contractors to achieve high-quality tenant design that is customer-focused.

Your assignment

• Approve and provide direction to tenants, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure that all designs are in line with Ikano\xe2\x80\x99s directed design criteria and precinct design criteria while maintaining high-quality retail design solutions that meet business needs.
• Prepare and/or monitor monthly Lease Plans in the portfolio.
• Manage retail unit design reviews and prepare weekly Retail Deign Tracking Report in the portfolio.
• Work with the Leasing department to support design solutions, advise on study plans (Test Fit) for any reconfigurations, amalgamations and new commercial locations.
• Initiate mitigation of delays in tenant openings such as concept & design submissions & revisions.
• Actively contribute options and solutions to the current meeting place layouts.
• Propose and update fit-out design guidelines with the latest concept and produce LODs (Lease Outline Drawings) and other drawings when necessary to achieve high-quality tenant design that is customer-focused.
• Participate in workshops related to the upgrade, update, redevelopment, and development of existing and future meeting places to contribute from the tenant\'s design point of view.
• Contribute in ad-hoc projects that relevance to the meeting place enhancements.

Qualifications

Your profile

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree or professional qualification in Interior Design, Architectural or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in commercial design industry.
• Good knowledge of retail design (Interior & Exterior design) and retail master planning
• Good communication, interpersonal and presentation skills..
• Fluent in English as a business language (spoken and written).
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3DMax & Photoshop.
• Market benchmarking and trends of tenant fit-out.
• Fit-Out and Construction compliance and authorization standards.
• Knowledge in budgeting and cost saving through alternative solutions.
• Basic knowledge of Mechanical and Engineering provisions (MEP) for different categories and types.
• Ability to produce and process technical drawings.
