JOB ROLE

Design, execute, and ensure the provision of quality testing, with a broad range of systems maintained by IT, to ensure that systems meet the requirements of diverse users.

This role will focus on data migration testing.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure the test process is in line with the agreed Test Strategy
• Take an active role in the test team, covering multiple areas of functionality.
• Perform requirement and test basis review.
• Prepare test scenarios and test cases (both automated and manual) ensuring enough detail is included to prove during test execution that the designed solution meets the requirements.
• Take an active role in peer review of test scenarios and test cases of the test team and ensure the quality of test cases is too high standards.
• Identify test data needs for project testing.
• Execute tests as specified, analyze and record accurate results.
• Ensure the defect process is correctly followed.
• Support ODC test manager/lead to publishing metrics for incorporation in weekly/ milestone status reports
• Suggest improvements in the test process.
• Take ownership of testing quality

• Test role in teams working on multiple concurrent test projects, with experience working with different project resources (e.g., BAs, developers)
• Excellent functional and system testing skills
• At least 3 years experience in testing
• ISTQB certified
• Knowledge and experience in agile testing and working in a scrum team
• Experienced in using SQL and creating SQL queries to verify test results and test data setup.
• A firm understanding of ETL testing concepts, data models, data dictionaries, and data mapping documents.
• Excellent understanding of Test design techniques and when to implement them (including the black box)
• Strong experience in test cases/scenarios and requirement reviews
• Test automation - using Selenium and Spec flow. Katalons knowledge is the added advantage.
• Ability to adapt/change testing courses to suit project needs and timescale.
• Experience working with large complex data.
• Pro-active and self-motivating attitude
• Ability to understand technical designs and documents.
• A challenging and enquiring mind with attention to detail
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills.

• Experience with MS Azure DevOps
• Experience within utilities or similar sector
• Experience working in Onsite-Offshore testing models.
• Experience in CRM/Billing product testing is added advantage.
