Primary Objectives
Establish and lead the
overall test strategy
across multiple projects in alignment with program goals and quality standards
Coordinate with business and IT stakeholders to manage
testing schedules, priorities, and compliance
Oversee
test planning and execution
, ensuring risk-based coverage and on-time delivery
Identify, manage, and escalate
critical risks and quality issues
to senior leadership
Lead, mentor, and manage large testing teams and provide regular
testing progress and metrics
to program governance bodies
Key Responsibilities
Define and drive the
program-level Test Strategy and QA approach
Align testing activities with overall
program timelines and objectives
Provide leadership to testing teams across multiple projects to ensure consistency and quality
Collaborate with Project Managers, Business Leads, and IT stakeholders to align testing priorities
Ensure adherence to
regulatory, compliance, and organizational quality standards
Oversee test planning activities and ensure comprehensive functional and non-functional coverage
Monitor testing progress, manage dependencies, and ensure adherence to delivery timelines
Identify and escalate
program-level risks, defects, and quality issues
and manage resolution plans
Define, track, and report
quality metrics and KPIs
Lead and mentor Test Managers, Test Leads, and Senior Testers
Communicate testing status, risks, and mitigation plans to
Senior Management and Project Sponsors (PWG/PSC)
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 10+
years of experience
in test management and SDLC with a strong track record of delivering large IT programs
10+ years of experience
in
Banking / Financial Institution
environments
Proven experience in
end-to-end banking testing
, including:
Functional testing
Non-functional testing
Data Migration / Data Conversion
Performance Testing
Experience managing
large testing teams (direct employees)
, including Test Managers, Test Leads, and Test Analysts
5-10 years of experience leading
large-scale banking IT programs
in testing roles
Strong exposure to a wide range of
testing methodologies, tools, and techniques
Hands-on experience managing
Waterfall and Agile testing projects
