Job Description
The Lumber Quality Controller will be responsible for
monitoring the quality, measurement, and packaging (bundling) of lumber
during production and loading. The role involvesinspecting, approving, or rejecting
lumber pieces that do not meet specifications.The position requires
regular travel
to sawmills, kilns, and loading sites to perform on-site quality inspections and ensure consistent quality control across all operations.Key Responsibilities
Inspect lumber during
production, sorting, and bundling
to ensure it meets required quality standards, grades, and dimensions. Identify andreject defective, undersized, or improperly processed
lumber pieces. Ensurebundles are correctly sorted, counted, and labeled
according to customer orders. Coordinate with sawmill operators and loading teams to correct quality issues promptly. Conductrandom and final inspections
before shipment. Maintain detailedinspection records and quality reports
for each consignment. Communicate quality issues or recurring problems to management and suggest corrective measures. Ensure allsafety and handling procedures
are followed at the site. Travel to differentmills, storage yards, or loading ports
as required for inspection and verification. Work closely with theoperations and sales teams
to ensure that shipments meet buyer specifications.Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM1,453.33 - RM2,500.00 per month
