We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented
Quality Control (QC) Assistant
to join our bakery production team. In this role, you will help ensure that all baked goods consistently meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and consistency. This position is ideal for
fresh graduates
who are eager to gain hands-on experience and grow their careers in the food manufacturing industry.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect incoming ingredients (e.g., flour, sugar, yeast) for freshness, quality, and adherence to specifications, and report any deviations.
Monitor production lines to ensure correct mixing, baking, and packaging procedures are followed.
Conduct quality tests on finished products (taste, texture, appearance, shelf-life) using tools such as pH meters and moisture analyzers.
Maintain accurate records of QC checks, test results, batch numbers, and corrective actions for tracking and troubleshooting.
Identify product abnormalities, investigate root causes, and work with the production team to implement corrective actions.
Apply food safety regulations and standards (e.g., HALAL, GMP, HACCP) to ensure compliance in all bakery operations.
Provide regular updates on QC performance, highlight issues, and suggest improvements.
Assist in training production staff on hygiene, QC procedures, and food safety practices.
Liaise with suppliers regarding ingredient quality issues and collaborate on solutions.
Support process optimization and contribute to product development initiatives.
Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Biotechnology, or a related field.
0-1 year of working experience (fresh graduates are strongly encouraged to apply).
Basic knowledge of food safety standards (HALAL, GMP, HACCP) is an added advantage.
Strong attention to detail, with good communication and teamwork skills.
Willing to work
6 days per week
with weekday off-days (not weekends).
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM1,800.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
