Responsible in ensuring the Mould designs meet with the required specifications, ease of fabrication and injection process. To have knowledge on mould design for special moulding process; 2k or 3k moulding, gas assist moulding, rapid heat cycle moulding, LSR moulding, Thin wall moulding, insert moulding, IMF/IMD moulding, hot runner moulds, etc. Ensure appropriate allocation of resources and capacity for mould making (including design, facilities, machine capability and human resources). Work closely with moulding team to resolve design problems that affecting production cost. Keep abreast of the technology advancement to ensure continuous improvement in the technology and skills in mould design and mould making. Responsible for ensuring resources are appropriately utilized to achieve maximum production output with highest quality within the shortest lead-time. To be responsible for tool quotation and tooling lead time study. To establish and undertake effective training to upgrade mould maker skills. To verify and approve work on quality related matters and monitor on the delivery of Tools To continuously improve the Tool room manufacturing system.
