Job Summary:

The Tooling Engineer is responsible for acquiring, developing, and managing tooling for new products from concept through to production handover. This role requires strong technical expertise, hands-on problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate across departments to ensure efficient manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Specify, implement, and support FPA and start-up activities for new tooling in manufacturing operations. Monitor and improve existing dies used in operational processes. Assist drafters in designing product structures using CAD tools and drafting software. Read, understand, and interpret complex mechanical and technical drawings. Collaborate with Quality Control and Production teams to develop part manufacturing plans. Provide engineering and troubleshooting support to production and maintenance teams to resolve technical issues and equipment breakdowns. Lead and contribute to process improvement activities to enhance productivity and reduce iteration time.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Manufacturing, or equivalent. Proficient with Microsoft Office applications. Minimum

5 years of experience

in Process Engineering, preferably within the

leadframe manufacturing industry

. Strong knowledge of

FMEA, SPC, DOE

, and other statistical quality tools. Experience in project management and work study is an added advantage. Strong communication skills, able to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including suppliers and customers. Demonstrated leadership qualities and ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues. Able to work long hours and perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Ability to identify and implement improvement opportunities to increase productivity and profitability.

Physical Requirements:

Mature, energetic, and enthusiastic personality. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Able to work independently and as part of a team in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. Articulate, confident, and results-oriented, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM10,000.00 per month
