Summary Tooling Technician will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on tools and equipment\'s related to production operations. Experienced professional possessing the knowledge, skills, and ability to troubleshoot and repair tooling and equipment issues with minimal guidance or supervision. Drive best practice daily through high standards of engineering, compliance and HS&E standards. Essential Responsibilities: Perform daily monitoring, preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing and utility equipment/ systems. Plan, estimate, sequence, and perform any task required to program, fabricate, assemble, maintain, inspect, and repair any and all types of tools. Use processes such as cutting, grinding, spotting, painting, hand finish, shaping, bending, drilling, reaming, tapping, wiring, plumbing, lay-up, minor welding, inspection, set-up, operate all types of fabrication and measurement equipment and machine tools required to fabricate tools. Use and/or interpret tool and engineering drawings and models, sketches, templates, tool design manuals, verbal information, master tools, production parts, digital data and various handbooks in accomplishing and communicating work requirements Support production activities at all times by ensuring minimum response times to tools breakdowns. Ensure all documentation and data is complete, accurate and current. Assist Engineers in carrying out engineering evaluations/experiments/ troubleshooting. Provide feedback and give suggestions to improve tools/equipment stability and performance. Participate and contribute actively in continuous improvement activities. Ensure that maintenance and repair cover for production areas is provided at all times by demonstrating flexibility regarding working overtime to provide cover for holidays, sick leave, shutdown periods, busy periods and as required. Assist new colleagues on their On-the-Job-Training (OJT) by acting as their buddy. Maintain good housekeeping and safety practices in the production and working areas. Respond to emergency calls for any troubleshooting required at site. Perform other responsibilities as assigned by superior or Management from time to time. Qualifications / Requirements: Certs/Diploma in Mechanical or Manufacturing or equivalent. 3 years of relevant working experience.
