Job Description


  • Minimum 5 years working experience in trade marketing function, preferably in FMCG sector.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Strong attention to details.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
  • Strong will to win with proactive mindset.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast paced environment.
  • Good command of Microsoft Excel, word and powerpoint.
  • Knowledge in Adobe illustrator or Photoshop is an added advantage.
  • Good command in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Willing to travel.
Responsibilities1. Trade Marketing Strategy Development
  • Develop trade marketing strategies to achieve sales and marketing objectives within the retail and distribution channels.
  • Identify market trends, competitive landscape and consumer insights to shape trade marketing plans.
  • Strategize Marketing 5Ps - Product Assortment, Pricing, Placement, Point of sales material, Promotions.
  • Create sales tools (product catalogues, product write ups etc for sales teams.
  • Work with external marketing agencies, contractors and vendors ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
2. Trade Promotion Planning
  • Develop and implement trade promotion programs to increase product sales and market share.
  • Monitor and analyze the performance of promotions and adjust strategies as needed to maximize ROI.
3. Channel Management
  • Work closely with sales teams to ensure alignment of trade marketing initiatives with sales goals.
  • Evaluate channel effectiveness and propose improvements to optimize distribution and visibility.
4. Budget Management
  • Assist in budget planning and monitoring to ensure efficient allocation of resources for trade marketing activities.
  • Track expenditures and report on the financial performance of trade marketing initiatives.
5. Market Research
  • Conduct market research to gather data on consumer behavior, competitor activities and industry trands.
  • Use market insights to make recommendations for trade marketing strategies.
6. Sales Support
  • Provide sales teams with the necessary tools, training and materials to effectively promote and sell products.
  • Monitor the sales team\'s execution of trade marketing initiatives.
7. Relationship Building
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key retailers, distributors and partners.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, product development and marketing to achieve common objectives.
