The People & Organization Malaysia department is in charge of managing the human resources of our organization. We develop strategies and policies to meet business needs and oversee activities related to recruitment, training and development, compensation and benefits, talent management, and organization development. As a Training Manager (Capability Lead) at Novo Nordisk Malaysia, you will oversee and evaluate internal learning initiatives in sales and back-office functions throughout the organization. This includes planning, executing, and following up on activities to ensure the development of competencies and upskilling of the workforce.
Other key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Identifying training needs through discussions with department heads/team leaders, Sales, Marketing and Medical teams, working with sales teams, maintaining market contact via field visits, and liaising with therapy area Regional Sales Managers, Key Account Managers, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Providing various training programs including the Novo Nordisk way of selling and coaching, off-the-job skills training, on-the-job coaching with line management, development workshops, and motivational/educational workshops based on identified needs and in connection to affiliate strategy and priorities.
  • Assisting in aligning local introduction/onboarding programs with International Operations (IO) guidelines, updating topics through discussions with department heads/team leaders, particularly Sales, Marketing and Medical teams for relevant therapy areas, organizing and organizing sessions with logistics and facilitator booking, delivering parts of the program as an HR representative, maintaining manuals and aids, preparing tests with facilitators, and producing post-evaluation reports.
  • Continuously developing and improving our approaches to training and development by staying up to date on market trends, internal best practices and innovation.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Business or equivalent. Additional certifications in the field of skills building/coaching would be an added advantage.
  • Must have 7 years of relevant experience. Experience in the field of training would be preferable.
  • The ideal candidate is experienced in managing a complex stakeholder landscape since the role is expected to work closely with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A strong, proven track record of leadership and coaching experience.
  • Must have good communication and facilitation skills that can positively impact performance and create engagement.
