Position: Treasury/FX Operations [Securities & Derivatives Analyst]

Working Location: Jalan Ampang, Kuala Lumpur Malaysia

Working Days/Hours: Monday - Friday, 5am - 2pm & 10am - 7pm

Working Duration: 11 months contract with PERSOLKELLY (renewable based on performance)

Salary: Basic up to RM3,600 (based on experience & qualifications) with statutory contribution + leave entitlement + medical coverage



The Securities & Derivatives Analyst 2 is an intermediate level position responsible for processing orders and transactions originating from trading desks and branch offices in coordination with the Operations - Transaction Management team. The overall objective of this role is to facilitate the clearance, settlement and investigation of client securities and derivatives transactions. This will cover Pre-settlements, Settlements and Payments activities.

Job Responsibilities:

• Process securities transactions, provide analytic input for traders and aid in review of derivative products.
• Identify and resolve securities and derivative settlement issues and make process improvement recommendations to leadership.
• Analyze moderately complex reports to satisfy management requirements, aid in control activities, and contribute to the launch of product services.
• Monitor and suggest solutions to errors to minimize risk to the bank, through an intermediate knowledge of procedural requirements.
• Escalate transaction processing issues to the appropriate department and collaborate on a solution.
• Design and analyze moderately complex reports, in coordination with standards set by direct leadership.
• Assist with control activities, and the launch of new products and services.
• Ensure processes adhere to audit and control policies.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm\'s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Additionally, this role will be required to support project management activities, which includes:

• Gathers project data needed to complete project plans and help create them.
• Collects project performance data, serves as an analytical and/or procedural expert, representing a settlement unit or team to support deliverables / initiatives.
• Tracks project issues and resolutions create and document the project work.
• Breaks-down structure document change control actions for the project.
• Updates project artifacts with approved changes.
• Creates process flows, process maps and other process documentation as will be required.
• Creates Business Requirement documentations which include primarily (but may not be limited to): Agile Iterative Methodology / process maps / process documentations, process recordings.

Job Requirements:

• Min 1-2 years of experience banking operation, Settlement operation
• Knowledge on Settlement process & system, especially US markets
• Ability to work under pressure and manage to deadlines.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication.
• Attention to detail and intermediate problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor\'s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
• Flexibility in work schedule
• Strong analytical skills.
