ABOUT THE ROLE The Unified Communications (UC) Engineer is responsible for administration and support for voice, video, data communication systems and services including telephony, collaboration systems, telehealth, video conferencing, desktop and softphones, mobile devices, email, and voicemail systems. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES A good understanding of the Microsoft Teams, Session Border Controller (SBC), Verba Recording application s and interaction between them. Strong focus on Avaya Agents and Global Contact Center Agent desktop design and best practice Oversee voice and video services to support rapid company expansion. Collaborate and work with vendors for problem resolution and equipment replacement if required to ensure timely attention and resolution. Maintain equipment inventory, configurations, and ensuring all changes are follow procedure, updated, and documented. To prepare an RCA (Root Caused Analysis) report on the incident occurred. Participate in business project and lead the project from technical perspective on all voice & video related matter. Participate in and take the lead on technical discussions with business user and stakeholders that impact the business continuity and growth. Perform strategic planning of infrastructure including road maps, system designs, cost, and time estimates utilizing both current and future technologies to achieve the best balance between cost, functionality, and business requirements. Qualifications JOB REQUIREMENTS Preferred bachelor\'s degree in communications engineering, electrical engineering, electronic engineering, physics, telecommunications or computer science and/or equivalent combination of education and experience Other advanced certifications may be substituted in lieu of the above requirement such as CCNA Collaboration certification . Hands on knowledge in common coding languages such as C, C++ and Python to develop products and troubleshoot issues. Minimum 10 years or more related working experience in large or global enterprise environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to explain technical issues in clear and understandable language. Strong customer service orientation Experience with QOS, VOIP, H.323 protocol, SIP based telecommunication networks. Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Ability to work under pressure and resolve issues quickly. Able to work with cross border colleagues. Working Location/Mode: Cyberjaya, Onsite Normal working hours.
