Job Description

• Candidates must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor\'s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree in Engineering/ Science or equivalent.
• Required language(s): English, Bahasa Malaysia. A third language would be of advantage. \xe2\x80\xa2 Proficient in Microsoft Office - Excel, Word and Power Point, 3D modeling & CAD.
• At least 3 years of working experience in research & development field.Knowledge of Siemens NX CAD software or similar (2D and 3D modeling mandatory).
• Proven knowledge and experience in conducting research, designing product solutions, and presenting findings/results.
• Significant work experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment, preferably automotive.Compliance/familiar with IATF 16949, ISO 9001 & etc

• Design and develop new processes and products.
• Research and develop new materials, instruments, and equipment.
• Create implementing plans and timelines.
• Develop detailed product specifications, and conduct feasibility studies.
• Develop and present various standard and ad hoc reports related to R&D projects.
• Manage advanced product development program, improved materials or manufacturing processes.
• Provide assistance to other engineers.
• Creating engineering plans for new products.
• Execute broad engineering knowledge to design and development new products, product changes and enhancements.
• Stay current on industry trends.
• Troubleshooting & analyze failure of product & machine.
• Research and Development Engineer Responsibilities
• Design, develop, research, test, analyze, and evaluate new and modified products, processes, and services to meet business requirements.
• Research, evaluate, and select potential suppliers and vendors.
• Think beyond simply the engineering equations, anticipate drilling problems, devise solutions, and choose the best alternatives.
• Analyze and interpret technical specifications, drawings, and diagrams.
• Analyze and evaluate alternative solutions.
• Provide technical expertise and consultation to internal customers and suppliers.
• Develop and audit test plans.
• Provide technical assistance and training to less experienced employees.
• Develop and manage budgets, including purchasing and procurement.
• People Management
• Lead and/or support junior engineers.
• Train people within department.
• Supervise subcontractors if required.
