GENERAL

AMD is looking for a highly talented individual to join our Server Platform Solution Engineering (SPSE) team where working on platform designs, validations, and solutions to help our customers win with AMD EPYC systems. This engineer will work with validation and our customers during critical issue escalations and help get issues resolved in time to meet product development or sustaining milestones. Opportunity to learn simulation, emulation and validation during pre-silicon and post-silicon phase to deliver the hardware and software technologies of next generation computing platforms, accelerating AMD to have the highest-performing compute system in the world.

DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION

Setting up and enabling the latest AMD Server Platforms Design. Participate on the current and next generation product definition and address the key design and methodology challenges. Participate in projects involving from design, simulation, emulation, validation and/or customer communication. Test and validate the power and performance of the Server Platforms to its product features specifications. Brainstorm and debug the Server Platforms on any challenges arises to meet product features specifications. Involve in both hardware and software on daily basis to perform the validation works. Simulate, emulate, debug and validate product features includes Device Power, Device Thermal, PCIe Gen5, DDR5, SATA, USB. Work within a managed ticketing system and. communicate clearly on steps/activities.

DETAILED JOB REQUIREMENT

Able to read and interpret board schematics. PC/server environment H/W and S/W setup and administration. Basic network topology skills, understand AMD IT infrastructure. Comfortable working in different operating system environment including Windows and Linux. Knowledge of computer hardware (CPU/APU, graphic cards, memory, bus logic, and display technologies) and software architecture (driver/bios). Ability to set up hardware and build computer systems. Team player with strong communication skills and able to work in a dynamic environment. Must be a self-starter capable of working with minimal supervision and driving tasks to completion.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

Bachelors or Associate Degree in Electrical, Electronics or Computer Engineering Preferred. Minimum: Technical College Degree with specialization in HW deployment.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
