Job Description

Key Responsibilities



Safe Driving:

Operate the restaurant's catering vehicle safely and responsibly, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.

Route Planning:

Plan and execute the most efficient delivery routes to ensure on-time arrival at event sites, accounting for traffic and venue access.

Loading/Unloading:

Carefully load and unload catering items, ensuring proper securing of food containers, equipment, and supplies to prevent damage or spoilage during transit.

Vehicle Maintenance:

Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle report any maintenance needs promptly, and ensure the vehicle's interior and exterior are kept clean.

Order Verification:

Double-check all items against the catering order checklist before leaving the restaurant and upon delivery to ensure order accuracy and completeness.

Professional Conduct:

Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with clients, venue staff, and the catering crew.

Setup Assistance:

Assist the on-site catering crew with the initial unloading and placement of equipment and supplies at the delivery location.

Equipment Return:

Assist the crew with collecting and loading all returning equipment, trash, and leftovers after the event concludes.

Required Skills and Qualifications



Experience:

Proven experience as a delivery driver or commercial driver is required; experience handling food or fragile goods is a strong asset.

Licensing:

Must possess a valid, non-expired driver's license with a clean driving record.

Physical Demands:

Ability to repeatedly lift, carry, push, and pull heavy items safely, and load/unload vehicles in all weather conditions.

Knowledge:

Familiarity with local area roads and navigation (GPS and map reading). Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene principles.

Reliability:

High level of responsibility, punctuality, and time management skills are essential for meeting strict event timelines.

Communication:

Clear and effective communication skills to relay information between the kitchen, management, and the event team
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM2,000.00 per month
