To inspire and surprise visitors by presenting and communicating the IKEA home furnishing offer with strong visual impressions that exceed visitors\xe2\x80\x99 expectations. This will strengthen the IKEA Brand and convert more visitors into customers.

Your assignment

  • Lead and manage a team of visual merchandise co-worker in secure/apply/inspire/ raise their competence in range presentation and challenge them to strengthen the uniqueness of the IKEA identity in range presentation throughout
  • Actively support the development and execution of the store business plan and department action plan with Visual merchandise knowledge and initiatives that are focused on growing the business and supporting long-term profitability.
  • Maintain deep and up-to-date knowledge about range presentations, retail and trends in order to support the Com&In manager to facilitate workshops that generate creative directions that inspire and surprise visitors with strong visual impressions.
  • Transfer deep knowledge and competence about layout as a commercial tool and range presentation in working together with the Com&In team and other store functions through exploiting commercial opportunities and understanding the impact of these actions on the financial results.
  • Ensure the team always keep visitors in mind, disruption is minimized and communicate changes when working on the shop floor.
  • Establish an open, collaborative working relationship with all functions in the store through transfer of knowledge based on regional guidelines.

  • Passionate about design, global trends, local market, visual merchandise and retailing. The way it can impact the IKEA Concept, the IKEA Brand, IKEA retailing and improve people\xe2\x80\x99s life at home.
  • Energised by the potential of cross functional co-creation and collaboration with customers, colleagues, suppliers and other relevant stakeholders, in and outside of IKEA.
  • Inspire with creativity to influence and share specialist knowledge.
  • Expert in how visual merchandising know-how and knowledge create unique business advantages.
  • Deep knowledge about the IKEA product range and the IKEA range strategy.
  • Knowledge how visual merchandising contributes to a more sustainable life.
  • Deep knowledge about retail and customer shopping behaviour in a multichannel environment.
