Role Responsibilities . To uphold the integrity on best practice in entity governance within regulatory requirements and value standards consistent with supporting the Group\'s and GBS\' strategic direction and growth aspirations. . Establish and maintain frameworks within GBS to ensure compliance with the Bank\'s policy and procedures for Significant Non-Banking Subsidiaries (SNBS), applicable banking regulations, internal policies, procedures, and codes to protect the reputation of the bank with its regulators and balance the needs of other stakeholders. . To ensure adherence to the Bank\'s (ERMF), ensuring it remains appropriate to the Group\'s activities, is effectively communicated and implemented across GBS, and to administer related governance and reporting processes . To oversee and challenge the management of applicable risk type frameworks including operational, reputational, compliance, conduct, information and cyber security and financial crime for the GBS entity functions Responsibilities . Responsibilities for Governance spans across all jurisdictions within the GBS entity. Strategy . Governance framework . Ensure adherence to Group\'s governance framework for Significant Non-Banking Subsidiaries (SNBS) . Drive and implement the vision, strategy and direction set by Group Head, GBS for the Governance function overseeing GBS entity . Managing oversight of governance, promoting a culture of good conduct, compliance and risk awareness within the legal entity . Act as the central point of reference for entity governance related queries Business . . Provide support and challenge to the GBS Management team and the location leadership team to ensure that they established and monitor appropriate entity processes for adherence to policies, procedures, and standards (including meeting regulatory obligations and maintaining high standards of conduct). . Participate as requested in business / function committees /work groups along with other Business Team members. This includes identifying, researching, and reporting issues to the committees / forums / working groups to resolve issues . Participate in all major regulatory reviews, and other audits (Group level and/or GBS entities audit) by external or internal auditors) that have impact to the GBS.This includes coordination of audit process and engagement with external / internal auditors in RFI requests and review of evidential documents. . Deliver ad-hoc reviews at the request of senior management (GBS and Group). Business Resilience . Partner with BRM, business and functions within GBS to build a sustainable Business Resilience strategy for the GBS entity to be able to support the units within GBS in times of crisis. . Work with business / functions to design the overall BCP programme plan and obtaining consensus from all programme workstreams for the GBS. . Review risks and monitor mitigation and contingency plans for all the programmes in the GBS. Processes . Enterprise risk management Working with Head, Governance GBS to: . Align the operational risk management approach in function/domain to the Enterprise Risk Management Framework and oversee its effective application within GBS. . Ensure, jointly with the Business/Function that the business heads and relevant staff understand and accept their responsibility and accountability for first line risk management. . Work in close collaboration / liaise with Group Operational Risk (GOR), Compliance, Risk & Control, and Audit teams to ensure efficient delivery of ORTF for the GBS entity functions . Ensure smooth conduct of various risk forum meetings and ensure quality/accurate updates of various OR events and initiatives. . Administer the GBS Non-Financial Risk Committee (GBS NFRC). . Ensure GBS entity issues / risks are accurately tabled to the appropriate authorities for review, acceptance and approval. . Work with the GBS Accountable Executives to lead GBS to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank\'s Conduct Risk Management framework People & Talent . . Lead through example and embed SCB\'s culture and values. . Build a high performing team of individuals with high engagement and motivation level.Focus on investing in team members\' performance, development, and career growth opportunities. . Access competency and skillset of the team on an ongoing basis to ensure alignment to the governance and risk management demands, and ensuring the team have effective supervision in place to mitigate any risk.
