Job Description

1 To help registered nursing staff in the hospital and other ancillary departments with non-nursing duties including housekeeping, ward, patient and office support.
2 To assist doctors and nurses in general care deliveries for patients.
3 To give and empty bedpans, dress and groom patients and perform other duties related to patient care.
4 To take patients\xe2\x80\x99 blood pressure, temperature and pulse; report or record fluid intake and output; observe or monitor patients\xe2\x80\x99 status and document patient care on charts; collect specimens such as urine, faeces or sputum; administer suppositories, colonic irrigation and enemas and perform other procedures as directed by nursing and hospital staff.
5 To observe patients and report abnormal vital signs, symptoms and/or behaviours to SRN; ensure that restraints are correctly applied.
6 To transport patients in wheelchair or stretcher safely for treatment or surgery.
7 To deliver messages, reports, requisitions and specimens from one department to another.
8 To maintain unit environment for safety of patients.
9 To act as a triage and/or receptionist for incoming patients and telephone calls, may schedule patient appointments, prepare reports and correspondence including necessary forms and/or requisitions, dietary orders, death paperwork and assembly of charts, may order supplies.
10 To monitor stock of consumable and non consumable including linen (bed sheet, blanket and pillow case) and ensure appropriate par level at all time
10 To carry out any other job function as directed by Head of Department/Company from time to time
