Location: KL, Malaysia

The Opportunity:

We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity, working as our Web Senior Developer within the Asia Pacific region. Within the role you\'ll build and unit/integration testing of Web front end.

You will have a chance to be part of new project that will build a new end-to-end Digital Native Insurance Platform to enable new distribution models. Insurance offerings on this platform will be specifically designed for high levels of automation and straight through processing across the full insurance value chain.

Key Responsibilities:

Build a deep understanding of business requirements and best ways to build web front end.

Build of Web frontend using HTML, CSS, Javascript, Next.js/ReactJS, Redux & REST/JSON

Unit testing (JEST), integration testing and deployments in various environments

Trouble shooting & defect analysis

Interfacing with other teams for technical details related to integration of web with back-end services

Build & unit test of reusable UI components with ReactJS

Documentation of code

CI/CD processes in AWS (eg. configuration management, daily automated build, unit testing etc)

Occasional travel may be required

Your skills and experience:

Required experience in Next.js/ReactJS and REST/JSON

Extensive experience in HTML, CSS and Javascript

Prior experience in Financial Services or Insurance highly regarded

Experience with JEST, JIRA, BitBucket, Bamboo, Sonarqube

Skills:

Problem solving skills

Write reusable code

Experience with MVC and other design patterns

Passion for new and emerging technologies. Ability to investigate these in depth

Ability to understand business requirements in detail
